About Me
My name is Mya and I live in Clackamas, Oregon. I am currently 17 and decided to start owning rats when I was 15. I did tons of research before deciding that I’d get them. My first two rats started this whole thing. I got them from a breeder who had taken in two 11 month old girls. They never were in the best shape admittedly. They both had respiratory issues and developed tumors. They were pretty big rats for being girls, and lived most of their lives in a wire cage with fleece, then aspen wood chips. I fell in love with rats when I adopted my rat Circe. She absolutely adores me and is definitely the sweetest, and most outgoing rat I’ve had. She's the kind of a rat even kids can handle. From there, as one of my firsts rats came to the end of her life (her sister was humanely euthanized due to a tumor) I got three more girls. Smurf Valley Rattery and I talked about breeding and I decided I would love to have the experience. That's where I fell in love with my first litter that produced Olive (my first breeder doe). Now, I plan on continuing to breed to produce healthy, well tempered rats. Although I am quite young, I am still willing to learn about these magnificent animals. |
